Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon Island Kahunas & Elite Four

As remakes, Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon repeat the new Island Trials system of Sun & Moon. They consist of various quests, overseen by a Trial Captain, who specializes in a certain type (though you do not battle them like gym leaders during the trial). At the end of each island you must battle the Island Kahuna, then after completing all the Island Trials you take on the Elite Four. Their teams are all shown below.

As part of Mina's island trial, some of the Trial Captains must be sought out and battled. They can be found in these locations:

• Ilima: Hau'oli Cemetery
• Lana: Lush Jungle (Ultra Moon only)
• Mallow: Lush Jungle (Ultra Sun only)
• Kiawe: Wela Volcano Park
• Sophocles: Hokulani Observatory
• Nanu: Aether House
• Mina: Seafolk Village

After beating the Pokémon League, the trial captains may be battled again, with higher level teams. They are to be found at certain locations, and then battled in the home towns.

• Ilima: find at the Trainers' School on Route 1
• Lana: find and defeat her sisters in Konikoni City
• Kiawe: find at Paniola Town (Pokémon Ultra Sun only)
• Mallow: find at Konikoni City restaurant, daytime (Pokémon Ultra Moon only)
• Sophocles: Pokémon League Challenger, post-game
• Acerola: Pokémon League Elite Four
